‘PHYSICAL MERIDIANS’
I acknowledge there are many styles of every health protocol/sector
and each Practitioner within, often has their own particular preferences/techniques.
ACTUAL NOT SURE WHAT THIS THERAPY WAS CALLED
Heard about this Vietnamese practitioner who had a reputation
for alleviating body pains.
I refer to it here as ‘Physical Meridians’,
only because I more recently became to know what meridians are
and these ‘lines’ are what this practitioner worked on.
NAKED AND KNUCKLES
One of the few therapies where being naked was a pre-requisite.
Not only that, the practitioner used his well callused-knuckles
to mini-punch certain points, as well as physically running his knuckles
along the meridian lines.
PAINFULL
Many of the points or lines were very painful when subjected to the knuckles.
In particular, when he ran the meridian along my shin bones,
I nearly jumped off the table in pain
due to the the past injuries from a driveway chain.
FINISHED WITH NECK-WHIPS
All sessions always ended with some ‘neck-whips’ while standing -
the practitioner stood behind, held either side of the skull
and gave the head a quick ‘whip’ a couple of times each way.
FAIRLY EFFECTIVE
Despite the nakedness, knuckles and headwhips,
the therapy was quite effective.
The early sessions I went because I could hardly move my neck or head -
but after each session, the was more movement and less pain.
TOO DISCONCERTING THOUGH
In the end though,
I felt the overall effectiveness wasn’t worth the head-whips in particular.
The few positive outcomes I gained from these sessions,
really didn’t improve my situation enough to justify further sessions.
