THE CONSCIOUS BRAIN Supposedly the lastest of the Triune Brain components to develop. The ‘squiggly-shaped brain’ familiar to most and is mainly outer grey and inner white ‘matter’. NEO-MAMMALIAN Supposedly, this is where human ‘higher intelligence’ - that separates us from other Mammals - is ‘housed’. LOGICAL/ILLOGICAL Can also be refered to as the ‘Logical Brain’ which can include this brain’s acceptance of the ‘illogical’. THE ‘PRESIDENT’ Usually has the ‘final say’ - especially when we are ‘conscious’ - although works in close partnership with the CEO/Vice-President sub-conscious brain component, eg, conducting daily operations of the body like - ingesting food and fluids, moving the body around, and interacting with the outside world. THE ‘REAL WORLD’ This brain component is where we construct most of our ‘real’ world, based on its ‘conscious’ experiences and what the sub-conscious chooses to share with it. FANTASY But it also can ‘escape’ through fantasy - by ‘day-dreaming’ - that is, purposely imagining events different to ‘reality’. ‘PARTYING-SIBLING’ It can also be the ‘partying-sibling’ by being ‘out there, all the time’ having a really great time, including making decisions which make the subconscious-brain’s job much more difficult. For instance, consuming things that aren’t good for the body, including substances that are ‘poisonous’, or undertaking ‘high-risk’ behaviours, that can result in injury and/or illness.
