THE SUB-CONSCIOUS
The ‘Vice-President/Cinderella’ Component of the Triune Brain
IMPORTANCE TO KINESIOLOGY
This is the main brain component directly accessed via
Kinesiology’s muscle-monitoring technique.
Every movement, event, emotion, injury or aliment
is basically controlled, stored in or has been filed away by
this emotive-driven sub-conscious.
By ‘accessing’ this sub-conscious brain component,
Kinesiology aims to assist it to ‘better deal with life’ -
especially through better interaction with the conscious brain!
EMOTIONAL/MAMMALIAN
This component is predominantly ‘grey-matter’
and is also known as the ‘Emotional’ Brain -
or the ‘Mammalian‘ Brain because its has a lot
of similar components to those of other Mammals.
HOUSED IN THE MIDDLE
Located in the lower middle part of the brain
at about ‘ear-height’.
The sub-conscious is basically surrounded
at its front, back, left, right and above,
by the ‘conscious-brain’ component -
and below by the ‘unconscious’ brain stem.
‘ROCKY-ROAD MOTHERBOARD’
Has lots of little bits - like a ‘rocky road mix’ -
which together make the ‘motherboard’ of our brain
and is therefore involved in nearly all brain activity -
that is, it controls most of the body’s overall activities.
KNOWS EVERYTHING
From the moment its body begins life
- that is, when an ‘egg is fertilised’ -
to the day its body ceases to function,
the sub-conscious is on ‘continuous record’,
except during ‘unconscious’ moments: eg
You asleep - it is ‘awake’
You intoxicated - it takes control
You unconscious - it is too.
STORES EVERYTHING
It stores memories within itself,
in other parts of the brain and in muscle tissue -
especially the neck/shoulder muscles.
It probably also has access to ‘genetic memory’
stored within its body’s bones and within its cells.
THE ‘CEO & VICE-PRESIDENT’
There is little to nothing ‘signal-wise’
that does not pass through here -
a bit like a CEO or Vice-President.
The ‘final say’ though, is usually the domain of
‘The President’ conscious-brain component
‘CINDERELLA’ COMPONENT
The sub-conscious is ‘directly in charge’
of nearly every operation its attached body can perform -
that is, doing all the ‘heavy-liffting - all the ‘housework’.
In this way, the sub-conscious can also be described
as the ‘Cinderella’ brain-component.
NEVER TO ‘GO TO THE BALL’
Trouble is, this Cinderella will NEVER ‘go to the Ball’ -
and it knows this, but …
SLEEP SETS IT ‘FREE’
During sleep, the conscious-brain
- ‘The President’ - is off-duty
and the sub-conscious ‘Vice-President’ brain
is fully in charge, and so can and does ‘play’ -
that is, dreams of ‘unlimited freedom’
